Subcutaneous Administration

With ®Egalitte, you avoid the side effects of surgical castration and the side effects of contraceptives in female dogs.
It may help alleviate diseases that depend on testosterone (such as prostatic hyperplasia).
Due to its mechanism of action, ®Egalitte blocks the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) that stimulates the production of sex hormones (LH and FSH), which are the same in both males and females. ®Egalitte is the only product in the world that can be used in both males and females to block the function of the testes and ovaries.
The application protocol consists of administering the first dose after sexual maturation (approximately at 6 months; consult your veterinarian for specific breed recommendations) and the second dose 30 days later. After that, the treatment should be maintained once per year.
Viable sperm production is expected approximately 8 to 9 weeks after the recovery of normal sexual hormone levels. According to the literature, dogs return to normal hormone levels within 12 months. It has been observed that the duration of infertility after gonadal function blockage is generally longer in small dogs compared to medium and large-sized dogs.

Currently, ®Egalitte is not available for cats. This is because we are conducting thorough testing to ensure its safety and efficacy in this feline species.
